The spent pop rivet stems do not always fall into the collector but not really a big deal for me since my manual tool did not have a collector. It has nose pieces to handle 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, and 3/16 rivets in any material including stainless, and these store conveniently on the tool itself. The nose of the tool is about an inch and a half long making it fairly easy to get into tight spaces. The quality of the rivet fit and finish is generally better than a hand tool as well. This rivet tool offers a huge advantage over hand operated tools especially in terms of reducing fatigue. This is perfect for people with HVAC and automotive projects, gutter and downspout work and such. The tool is plenty fast for the kind of work I do - although I don't do high volume fabrication. There is plenty of power for the job at hand. All of the Milwaukee tools I have in the 12 volt line up have outstanding performance and this tool is no exception. I am usually wary of diving into lower voltage tools since I don't want to find myself with an under-powered tool. And the one thing I can say is that Milwaukee really has figured out how to make a powerful battery fueled tool. And I have tons of batteries and chargers both 12v and 18v. You can also get a replacement jaw set for the 1/4-inch blind rivet tool.I probably have more Milwaukee tools than any other brand. Milwaukee also offers non-retention nose pieces ($39), a protective boot ($44), and a 6-inch extension ($79) to install rivets into hard-to-reach areas. Both options include the Retention Nose Piece 4-pack, wrench, mandrel collector, hanging ring, and belt clip. It comes either as a bare tool for $799 or kitted with a CP2.0 battery and multi-volt charger for $999. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Blind Rivet Tool hits stores Q1 2021. With the battery installed, it weighs 5.6 lbs. Milwaukee’s Blind Rivet Tool sits at 12.5 inches in length, including the mandrel collector (10.13 inches without). ![]() ![]() Now, what about runtime? Well, using the kitted CP2.0 battery, this blind rivet tool can fire off up to 900 3/16″ aluminum or 500 1/4″ aluminum blind rivets on a single charge. This lets you track your tools and potentially increase productivity. Like many of the tools coming out of the Milwaukee camp these days, the Milwaukee 2660-20 pop rivet tool includes One-Key technology. Milwaukee also doubles down-claiming the M18 FUEL brushless motor works 50% faster than other cordless rivet tools on the market. ![]() That should be enough to create high strength blind rivets in nearly all materials. ![]() The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Blind Rivet Tool features a brushless motor that delivers up to 4,500 lbs. Cordless Innovation in the Riveting World In fact, this tool replaces not only hand blind riveting tools but pneumatic rivet tools as well. The tool provided a viable (and much quicker) alternative to hand riveting.īy revisiting the tool and upgrading the powerplant to the M18 Fuel platform, Milwaukee can now deliver an even faster cordless riveting solution. That wasn’t the first cordless rivet tool, but it may have been the first designed specifically for professional tradesmen. We remember the introduction of the Milwaukee M12 rivet tool back in 2018.
